Implementing real-time logging with AWS CloudFront in Node.js applications

Logging is an essential aspect of monitoring and troubleshooting applications. AWS CloudFront, a content delivery network (CDN) service provided by Amazon Web Services, offers real-time logging capabilities to track important metrics and events in your applications. In this blog post, we will explore how to implement real-time logging with AWS CloudFront in Node.js applications.

Setting up AWS CloudFront logging

Before we can start implementing real-time logging, we need to set up AWS CloudFront logging.

  1. Log in to the AWS Management Console and navigate to the CloudFront service.

  2. Select the distribution for which you want to enable logging.

  3. Choose the “Distribution settings” tab, and under the “Logging” section, click on “Edit”.

  4. Enable logging by selecting the S3 bucket where you want to store the logs. You can either specify an existing bucket or create a new one.
